Coach Rambles:
For our next day trip, we are going to walk in the Malham area. The cost of the coach is to be advised; we hope to keep it down to £16.We plan the first pick-up for Leeds at 8.30 then Thornbury Barracks at 8:45 and lastly Bradford Leeds at 9:00. We plan the usual A+, A and B walks; we would like to add an extra C walk for this ramble, if anyone can lead, please come forward to a member of the committe. We will eat at the Gamekeeper's, Long Ashes Caravan Park which usually provide us with a great 2-course meal. We organise a raffle and a festive-themed quiz to add to the festivities. This is on 6th December.

2027 Plans: more day trips and Holidays
We have arranged a coach holiday to Melrose in the Scottish Borders for 14th to 18th April 2027; FULL as we have used our allocation of rooms.
Coach Ramble general Information
We offer a great day out further afield with someone else driving, walks of different levels either linear or circular, and a welcome meal and drink at the end of the day. There is usually a choice of 3 walks:
- A+ walk: up to 14 miles, at a faster pace and more strenuous;
- A walk: about 10 miles at a moderate pace and to include hills;
- B walk: 6-8 miles at a moderate pace;
- And the option of a C walk (subect to finding someone happy to lead) - 3 or 4 miles gentle walking.
Start times and pick-up points
Coaches start 8.30 from either Bradford or Leeds depending on the destination, calling at Thornbury Barracks at 8.45, then Leeds or Bradford at 9am.

- Leeds: Bus layby outside College of Creative Arts on Eastgate, near Leeds Playhouse. LS2 7BS.

- Bradford: Nelson Street, near the police station;BD1 5AX
Booking/cost
The cost is usually between £16 and £17 depending on the cost of hiring coaches; it is non-refundable, and payable in advance by BACS or cheque. The cost of the meal (apart from odd occasions like the seaside trips, where we find our own meal) will be around £16, payable at the table. We will aim to find venues offering meals around this price, depending on availability as the hospitality industry has been facing difficult challenges in the last 5 years.

We recommend early reservation. Once numbers are confirmed you will be contacted regarding payment which should be preferably by bank transfer. Cheques sent by post will also be accepted at a small extra cost.
Other information
Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of drinks, particularly on hot days. You will need cash or card for the meal. Many bring a change of clothing for after the walk and this can safely be left on the coach during the day; you will also need clean shoes to wear on the return journey on the coach.
