Strenuous walk
The walk is accessible by public transport

Starting out
For all walks you need walking boots (for some easier routes other footware may be acceptable), waterproofs, and a drink (at least 1 litre of water, consider 2 or more for longer walks or hotter days). For most walks you will also need to bring a packed-lunch and snacks for along the way - most full-day walks last at least 4-5 hours.

If you are new to walking read the Ramblers guide to getting started for more information before heading out into the hills.

Walking with the RA
You are welcome to try out the Ramblers Associaiton before you join! All walks are free of charge and anyone is welcome to come along for a taster session before joining, just indicate to the leader that you are not a member and have come along to try the group out.

Membership to the RA not only provides walks but more importantly helps fund our work in protecting and maintaining the countryside and promoting walking for health. For more information take a look here.
