As Britain's leading charity for walkers, we've been caring for the country's footpaths and open spaces for over 65 years. Our aim is to protect the outdoor environment for you to discover and enjoy - now and in the future.
Britain has a unique network of public paths which we work hard to protect on your behalf. Linked to this work is increasing the space you can enjoy by helping establish rights of access to our countryside and safeguarding it from damaging developments.
We also provide you with as much information as you need to help plan and enjoy your walks and our wonderful heritage. And we promote walking by educating people about its health and environmental benefits.

Annual membership is only £24.00 (or £14.00 for people who, through whatever circumstances, cannot afford the standard rate) or £32.00 for a joint membership (two adults living at the same address). There are also life membership options available.
